The national standards for sleep safety will be presented and resources will be shared for both child care providers and parents. Topics include NC SIDS Laws\, child care licensing rules for safe sleep\, as well as how to develop a safe sleep policy. Key messages of this training include engaging in safe sleep practices and creating a safe sleep environment for infants and toddlers. \nThis training meets the criteria of a Health and Safety Training Topic. Child Care Rules require health and safety trainings to be completed once every 5 years. Smart Start of Yadkin County offered the initial Health and Safety Trainings back in 2017. We are starting a new rotation so that all 11 trainings will be offered again within the 5-year time frame.
