Description: Participants will receive an introductory course on planning and preparing for emergencies in a child care setting. Objectives include defining types of emergency events; identifying procedure, supplies, and equipment necessary for emergency response; preparing for emergency situations; and implementing emergency drills.
This training meets the criteria of a Health and Safety Training Topic. Child Care Rules require health and safety trainings to be completed once every 5 years. Smart Start of Yadkin County offered the initial Health and Safety Trainings back in 2017. We are starting a new rotation so that all 11 trainings will be offered again within the 5-year time frame. Please review your Health and Safety Training Record or call our office (336-679-7833) for more information.
All in-person trainings will be limited to 8 participants to allow for social distancing. If a waiting list is created, a duplicate training date will be set.
