Prevention & Control of Infectious Diseases, including Immunization

Description: Participants will learn about infectious diseases and how they are spread. They will be taught how to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases. They will also learn the importance of immunizations, proper hygiene and sanitation routines, how to recognize ill children, and when to exclude children from care.
This training meets the criteria of a Health and Safety Training Topic. Child Care Rules require health and safety trainings to be completed once every 5 years. Smart Start of Yadkin County offered the initial Health and Safety Trainings back in 2017. We are starting a new rotation so that all 11 trainings will be offered again within the 5-year time frame.
