Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome/ Abusive Head Trauma/Child Maltreatment

Participants will receive an overview of child abuse and Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS). They will learn the dangers of SBS and how to prevent it. Learning outcomes for child maltreatment include: identifying outward signs of abuse and neglect, discussing family and environmental situations that may trigger abuse, stating ways to prevent abuse from occurring in child care settings, and listing the caregiver’s role in reporting suspected abuse/neglect.

*Meets the criteria of 1 of the Health & Safety Training topics. However, it does not take place of the required training from Prevent Child Abuse NC (PCANC)*

• A Training Registration Form is required for all participants Individual Form / Group Form
• All trainings have a $5 non-refundable fee, except for CPR/First Aid. CPR/First Aid is $45. There is not an additional $5 fee.
