Each year, you may receive students that have additional support needs. These needs vary from child to child and vary year to year. You never know what additional support needs your students will have until the beginning of each school year. In this training, you will learn how to accommodate all disabilities to create an inclusive classroom for everyone. We will cover how to make each activity and center or learning area inclusive for all the children you teach. You will learn simple ways to adjust activities or learning areas to meet the needs of all.
Music is a great way to get children engaged! Music can be fun, expose us to new cultures, and is a great way to teach routines and rules. However, planning a variety of music activities can be a struggle. In this training, we will talk about the science of sounds! We will discuss how to switch up your music activities to keep them novel and engaging. We will learn about intentionality when planning music activities for children from infancy through age 5.
Remember being fascinated by all the colorful shapes and designs you would see when playing with a kaleidoscope? Many children today do not know what a kaleidoscope is and have never played with one before. In this workshop, you will learn how to create your very own kaleidoscope that you can share with your class! We will use inexpensive items you probably already have at home or in your classrooms. There are so many ways to make one, so you can make more than one!
